The International Center for Not-for-Profit Law (ICNL) works to improve the legal environment for civil society, philanthropy, and public participation worldwide, guided by its vision of a safe legal space where people are free to organize and collaborate to improve their lives.
Founded in 1992, ICNL was among the first organizations to focus on the legal framework of civic space. Through long-term partnerships with civil society, governments, and international bodies, ICNL supports legal reforms and strengthens democratic governance.
A representative of ICNL attends the Advisory Council meetings of the Nazaha Project as a Technical Support Organization, reinforcing its role in providing legal expertise to promote a transparent and sustainable civil society environment.
