The Ministry of Social Development in Jordan is responsible for protecting and caring for vulnerable groups while promoting sustainable social development. It oversees the Register of Associations, regulates nonprofit organizations, and manages  social welfare programs, empowers individuals and families, and strengthens partnerships between the public sector and civil society. The ministry also focuses on enhancing institutional efficiency, fostering social inclusion, and facilitating services for local communities through effective partnerships and optimal resource utilization.  

The ministry is part of the Advisory Council of the Nazaha Project and attends its meetings as an observer.
